Our Expert Guides will take you on a cycling tour through the Mekong Delta south of Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh) where you'll experience rich local traditions, picturesque scenery and the delicious foods & flavors unique to southern Vietnam. The Mekong is Vietnam's most abundant agricultural region and it's also home to local artisans and weavers. The flat riverside terrain and rural pathways make it an ideal day tour by bike for all skill levels.

On arrival in the Mekong Delta, the bikes will be set-up as you enjoy coffee or tea at a small village cafe. When the bikes are ready, we'll start riding through the stunning countryside on paved rural roads, past countless rice paddies, vegetable farms and orchards full of locally grown fruit.

We'll even stop at a small shop to see traditional woven mats and visit a nearby cocoa plantation. The chocolate in this region is world-renowned (in fact you can read about it in this interesting 2016 New York Times Style Magazine article).

As you head further south along concrete canal paths, the vegetation grows denser and the streams start to look more like the larger tributaries of the Mekong. We'll visit a busy marketplace without the crush of tourists, as well as many other surprise stops along the route. Lunch is a specially prepared local market-to-table feast, with foods sourced from the nearby fresh food marketplace served in a private home just for our group.

About 2 hours south of Ho Chi Minh, the Mekong makes its dramatic final push to the South China Sea, at the end of its epic 3,000 miles (4,900 kilometers) journey. Here the route weaves along canal paths and orchard trails, across ferries that sometimes only fit half a dozen people, and through the charming villages and towns that this area is known for.

During the entire trip, you'll sample the food of the Delta, a region rich with fresh fruits and vegetables. Lastly, the day will conclude with a private boat ride along one of the region's beautiful waterways.

Join us to see, taste, and experience the beauty and spectacle of the Mekong Delta on this full-day bike adventure.

There are 6 full sightseeing stops during the tour which breaks the ride into smaller sections.
